early career accelerator

Now Accepting Applications!

Our Accelerator has No upfront costs!

Each year we set aside a significant portion of our revenue to help fund the projects of young and talented entrepreneurs, independent film and TV producers, and artists and musicians.

If you have an idea that meets the following criteria, please contact us to discuss the application process:

Areas of Support

We support projects of the next generation of entrepreneurs. Our areas of support match our areas of service:

1. Entrepreneurship: A product or service that is innovative, disruptive, and meets an unmet need
2. Indie Arts: Movies, TV shows, podcasts
3. Musicians: Bands, singers, musicals

Guidelines to Apply

– The leaders of the project must be 18-30 years old, or less than five years into their entrepreneurial journey
– You must live in the United States
– You have done some work to be sure that you are not infringing on another company or individual’s patent
– You will be ready to provide a detailed outline
– If you are in college, the project will not interfere with your academic performance or goals

What We’ll Charge

We aim to help as many people as possible and are not seeking to profit. Our standard agreement is that if you are successful, you will agree to donate a percentage of any profits up to a certain amount (not revenue, but actual profit) back to this project so that we can help others. We will provide you with a report of who you helped!

What We Will Do For You

You will receive the services we provide and you choose for no cost. This might include crowdfunding services such as platform connections, executive coaching, startup consulting, and more. We might also provide funding.

1. Pitch

What is your elevator pitch – in a minute or less, what is your log line, what will make your project successful, and where are you in the process?

2. Why You?

What is your background and experience, and how much time do you have to dedicate to this project? Do you have samples of similar projects?

3. Plan

How much indie funding will you need to raise, at minimum, and how much would you want to raise ideally? What is the basic budget, and how was it designed?

4. Can We Help?

We will assess whether we feel we can be helpful.  We are picky and we also want to be fair to you and ensure that we are the right choice. We have been quite successful in assessing fit.

5. Free Services

In most cases we will at least offer advice and resources (for free of course). In many cases we may go beyond that and help with introductions and connections (also for free).

6. Add’l Services

If we think we can help in a more comprehensive way, we will offer a variety of possible plans, all of which will be based on mutually agreed upon contingencies.

“I could not afford anyone else this early in my career, but was lucky enough to be accepted by the Accelerator. It was amazing not to have to sacrifice quality or expertise.”

How Early Career Coaching Can Help

Career coaching can be highly beneficial for entrepreneurs at the start of their professional journey. Here’s how it can help:

  1. Clarity on Career Paths: Coaching helps individuals identify their strengths, interests, and values, which are crucial for setting a clear career path. This ensures they focus on a journey that aligns with their passions and abilities.
  2. Skill Development: We assist in identifying key skills required in your specific industry and provide strategies to develop those skills. This may include improving communication, leadership, or technical abilities.
  3. Networking: We help with networking strategies, which is essential for entrepreneurs, creators, and producers.
  4. Personal Branding: We help individuals understand how to present themselves professionally, both online and offline, creating a personal brand that stands out to employers.
  5. Decision Making: In the early stages of the career of an entrepreneur, producer, or creator there may be uncertainty about operational strategy. We provide valuable guidance to help you make informed decisions.
  6. Confidence Boosting: Many early-career individuals struggle with self-confidence, particularly when navigating new environments or facing challenges. Early career coaching can provide encouragement and actionable strategies to build self-esteem and resilience.
  7. Work-Life Balance: Establishing healthy work-life balance early on is key to long-term success, particularly for entrepreneurs, producers, and creators. We help with time management strategies and maintaining boundaries to prevent burnout.
  8. Career Advancement: We provide ongoing support and advice to help individuals advance in their careers, move into leadership roles, or pivot into new industries.

Overall, career coaching can accelerate professional growth, reduce feelings of uncertainty, and provide actionable steps for a successful career trajectory for entrepreneurs, producers, and creators.
